Description

For David Goggins, childhood was a nightmare - poverty, prejudice, and physical abuse colored his days and haunted his nights. But through self-discipline, mental toughness, and hard work, Goggins transformed himself from a depressed, overweight young man with no future into a U.S. Armed Forces icon and one of the world's top endurance athletes. The only man in history to complete elite training as a Navy SEAL, Army Ranger, and Air Force Tactical Air Controller, he went on to set records in numerous endurance events, inspiring Outside magazine to name him The Fittest (Real) Man in America.

In Can't Hurt Me, he shares his astonishing life story and reveals that most of us tap into only 40% of our capabilities. Goggins calls this The 40% Rule, and his story illuminates a path that anyone can follow to push past pain, demolish fear, and reach their full potential.

So much to learn before coming to the last page. Making my bed everyday was my first change. Being honest with my past the good and the bad. Midway through the book I felt stronger my day to day struggles almost became something I invited. Time wasted on waiting for the water in the shower to heat up is silly to me, and time wasted no more. Sores for the gym are nearly a after thought. An Amazing book.
  • A great book and a powerful story. I love how he keeps it real.

As a veteran this book was a real eye opener. It took every excuse away and made me realize I haven’t even come close to tapping my potential.

This isn’t a book for everyone, but this is the book for people that don’t want to tip-toe through life. If you want to live to be more than an ordinary human, crash barriers, and catapult your mind into more than what you ever thought possible; this is the book for you. The book is astonishing and the message is real. What you need to hear isn’t always gumdrops and butterflies, sometimes it comes in the form of truth and discomfort. Thank you Goggins “The only easy day was yesterday” #canthurtme #takingsouls

Simply amazing! The brutal honesty that we’ve been missing for the past few generations has finally resurfaced❤️ Not everyone gets a trophy. I love how this book brings to light that you can find your own purpose. Your own self respect. Your own honor. This book will save lives for those struggling with depression and need for acceptance. A friend refereed this book to me, I rolled my eyes and said whatever. I don’t need ‘self help’. I clearly did need it because I’m noticing subtle things I do to limit myself that I didn’t notice before Thanks for a great book! From someone that never gives reviews...
